Data Deletion Instructions — Kolkata Pulse

We use Facebook only to enable Share buttons on our pages. We do not use Facebook Login and we do not pull profile data from Facebook.
You can request deletion of any personal data we hold about you as described below.
How to request deletion
Email us at barnali1969@gmail.com
with the subject line: “Personal Data Deletion Request”.
Include:
Your full name and the email address you used with us
The type of data to delete (comment, contact form message, newsletter record, push subscription, etc.)
Any helpful identifiers (e.g., URL of the comment/post, approximate date, screenshot)
We may ask for additional information to verify your identity. We’ll acknowledge your request within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days (unless we’re required by law to retain specific records).
What we can delete
Website comments (and related metadata): We will remove your comment(s) from kolkatapulse.com and purge associated metadata from the database.
Contact form messages: We will delete your message(s) stored in our site/email and any form plugin logs.
Newsletter records (MailerLite):
– You can unsubscribe instantly using the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter.
– Or ask us by email and we’ll remove your address from our MailerLite audience and suppress future mail.
Push notifications (OneSignal, if enabled):
– You can revoke permission in your browser settings (Notifications) or use the site’s bell icon to unsubscribe.
– Or email us and we’ll remove your push subscription token (if technically accessible).
User accounts (if you created one here): We’ll delete the account and personal data associated with it.
Backups & caches: Deletions propagate to backups and caches typically within 30 days.
What we cannot control
Content and data you posted on third-party platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X/ Twitter). Please submit deletion requests directly on those platforms.
Links to our pages that others have shared elsewhere on the internet.

Basic analytics (aggregated, non-identifying) to understand traffic and improve the site

Authentication & safety
We will only process deletion for the owner of the data (or their authorized representative). We may ask you to confirm control of the email address or account used to submit the data. We do not charge fees for standard requests.
